Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along." I saw this on my friend Kyla's blog and I asked her if she can pick out 7 interests of mine and this what she chose for me:
Conan O'Brien Ok let's start with Conan. I've been a fan of his for a few years now and his show "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" is in my opinion one of best late night shows out there. I started watching his show about 5 1/2 years ago and I got hooked to it immediately. Conan is one of the few talk show hosts that make me laugh. He's come a long way from being a writer for "Saturday Night Live", then "The Simpsons" to a successful late night talk show host who been picked to replace Jay Leno when he leaves The Tonight Show next year.
Drawing Drawing was one of my favorite things to do when I was a kid. I used to draw pictures of my favorite cartoon and TV show characters all the time. I was really good at drawing people, especially in the anime form. I don't draw as much as I used to because I'm now into Photoshop but every once in a while I'll draw a pic of something if I'm in the drawing mood.
Everybody Loves Raymond Everybody Loves Raymond is in my opinion one of best sitcoms of all time. I've been a fan since day 1 and I'm still a fan to this day. I don't watch the show as much as I used to but I do watch an episode every once in a while. With a talented cast and the brave writers who used their real-life situations as part of the storylines is what made this sitcom something that I can relate to. If it wasn't for this show I wouldn't have met other fans who like the show as much as I did.
Opie and Anthony
After Everybody Loves Raymond ended I wanted to look for a new show to get into. It took me a while but on a March afternoon(March of 2006) I decided to listen to XM Satellite Radio on DIRECTV and I found this show and after listening for a few weeks I got hooked to it. Opie and Anthony have been labeled as "shock jocks" due to some things that they did earlier in their career. As a kid I've listened to other shock jocks on the radio like Mancow, The Doghouse and even Howard Stern but O & A are the only ones that I really got into like I did with ELR. One of the things that I like about them is that they like to hang out with their fans; whether its at the XM studios, FH Riley's(the restaurant Opie owns with his brother Brett in Huntington, LI) or some other event like the Opie and Anthony Traveling Virus Tour they always take some time out to talk to the fans. And did I mention that Gregg "Opie" Hughes is a hot piece of ass?(He's the blond guy).
Ray Romano
Before Everybody Loves Raymond aired in 1996 I've never heard of Ray Romano. The first time I saw him on TV was an half hour HBO comedy special that was taped in San Francisco that aired a week before ELR came on the air. Then on September 13th, 1996(a Friday the 13th believe it or not)ELR aired and after watching a few episodes I started to like Ray a little bit. A few years later I started to have a crush on him. The crush grew bigger over the years the show was on CBS but it has since died down a little bit after the show ended(Ray has been knocked down to the #2 slot this year because I have a crush on shock jock Gregg "Opie" Hughes now). I even went to one of his shows in Vegas In May of 2005, which was a week after the show ended and during the Q&A section of the show I raised my hand and he picked me but I was so nervous I was stuttering, which is something I never did before, and he asked me to come up by the stage. So we talked for 5 minutes and he signed a magazine cover that he was on and I shook his hand and that was it. It was one of the greatest moments of my life and I want to thank him for that.
Reno 911!
This show in my opinion is one of the funniest shows on Comedy Central today. For those of you who have not seen the show its a mockumentary of cop shows like COPS but done in the improv style. The cops in this show don't really do a good job in what they're doing. The show is already in syndication and a movie came out a while ago. The movie was OK but I liked the show a lot more.
Video Games
My love of video games started when I was a kid. I was 6 and I was hospitalized with Ulcerative Colitis a few weeks before Christmas in 1990. I was in the old children's hospital at Stanford and from time to time someone rolled in a TV stand with a Nintendo hooked up to it. I remember playing it a few times and I liked it. 2 years later, on Christmas 1992, I got my own Nintendo system and I've been a gamer ever since. Over the years I've collected 14 different systems and at least over 100 games, although I've sold some games for money and to make some space for new games. My favorite game genres are the fighting games like the Dead Or Alive, King Of Fighters, Tekken and WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw series. I used to like the Sims games but I just lost interest in them and my computer made some of the game run kinda slow. But other than that I mostly play on either the PlayStation 2(pictured above) or the Xbox 360, depending on how I feel that day.(BTW I don't have the colitis anymore due to an operation I had 9 years ago next Saturday).
